MJ Shelbourn & Company was established in February of 2007 as a Marketing & Design Studio. In 2008 we expanded to offer Décor & Event Design Services and later than year we began our line of customizable stationery & invitations and in 2009 we began to establish our rental inventory of special event furnishing & accessories.
Our growth has all been very organic and mostly driven by requests from our existing clients for additional services for either their business or personal lives. Our desire has always been to maintain a balance in our business that ensures we have the time to develop one on one relationships with our clients. This is the foundation to which we feel we owe our success, it allows us to personalize our services to our clients needs and build something for them that truly speaks to who they are.
Since adding our event services in 2008 our wedding business has grown expedentially. In August of 2009 we began a partnership with the Omaha Bridal Show and become the the designer/producer for thier 3 annual shows.
We have found our wedding business to be extremely rewarding. The relationships that we have built & the trust that has been afforded to us by our clients has allowed us to the opportunity to create truly inspired designs & impact what we hope is the most important day in the lives of our couples. We have become addicted to "I DO".
We are pleased to annouce that as of January 2011 MJ Shelbourn & Company will no longer be accepting new business clients and will be limiting our services to our wedding clients providing:
- DESIGN –allow us to conceptulize your dreams into a working design plan
- PRODUCTION - we will bring the design to life & make sure that every detail is implimented.
- FLORALS - creative use of classic & unique materials
- PAPIER - fine customizable stationery & invitations
- RENTALS - special event furnishings, linens & accessories

In her “previous life” MJ was Real Estate Development Executive. Spending more than 15 years designing, marketing and developing hotels & multi-family developments MJ has had the opportunity to work from Las Vegas to Miami and just about everywhere in between.
In October of 2006 MJ & her husband Brian found out they were expecting twins. A few months thereafter Brian & MJ made the decision that she would leave the corporate world behind and moved into the life of a “momtreprenuer”. In June their perfect pair were born and today they serve as MJ's greatest inspiration.
In addition to a keen eye for detail MJ has always had a natural flair for design & planning, and impeccable taste. That should be clear to anyone after seeing her designs or taking in any event she produces.
As a Real Estate Development Executive, MJ specialized in building a brand for her assets and clients that helped them express their identity not only within their marketing collateral but also within in their décor and even in how the communicated to their own clients. Similarly she now utilizes those same skills in helping her clients stand out and to create unique expressions of themselves for the most special event in their lives - their wedding day!
